The Chinese Computer

YEAR: 2024
ITEM: Book
COMPANY: MIT Press
COUNTRY: USA
IN OUR COLLECTION: Yes

The book entitled The Chinese Computer: A Global History of the Information Age addresses a technological problem presented by an ideographic language. To make it simple...how do you fit thousands of characters on a keyboard. Remember, the English language only has 26 characters and with just those 26 characters we create an unlimited number of words. But an ideographic language, which has its basis in the infinite number of real things around us, has tens of thousands of characters.

What does that keyboard look like?????

I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
