Considered by Narco as the "World's Most Widely Read Aviation Magazine." Flying magazine featured a wide variety of topics that have to do with all things aviation. This particular issue gives a product prospectus on radar contact along with a report of the used-plane market at the time.
This issue also holds value because it was at this time when Bendix announced the age of the Digital Computerized CNI System. Aviation highlights this product in their magazine claiming there was nothing like it in any other CNI System today. There was nothing like it in the general aviation field because of it being a fully solid-state digital device featuring a microprocessor. They also advertise the introduction of the ATC-610K flight simulator that we have in our collection. The ad states, "The ATC-610K is intended primarily for multiple-unit use by flight training centers and fixed base operators. It can also, however, be invaluable to corporate flight departments, charter operators, commuter airlines and cargo carriers." This magazine is a good example of how computers were changing the world in all categories of technology.
