It was a timely aid to consumers, as the book lists product brand names and the capabilities, limitations and price of each. The book shows video cassette recorders, cameras and devices that edit commercials, tv-terminal computers that gave printouts of the latest news, burglar-proof electronic security systems for homes and cars, along with challenging computer games and efficient solar energy systems. The Personal Electronics Buyer's Guide demonstrated how computerized appliances could improve many areas of your daily life, from entertainment and education to business and communication. This book shows ow to select the equipment that would give you the most for your money.
