Univac Computer Verifying Punch type 1701 & 1710 was originated in 1968. This was a portable unit which was in very good condition and included a comprehensive set of original documents, each of the documents is noted as being Interim Material. They include:
- Univac Verifying Punch Type 1701 and Verifying Interpreting Punch 1710 Diagnostic Module servicing Dated September 6, 1968
- Single sheet checklist titles Unit Traveler Model Control Section and coded document UD4-5578A
- About 25 Univac Punch Cards

This is a tester and it is deigned for verifying punch cards, and was a key component of the early computing systems back then. The device helps show a crucial transition into the world of technology by switching from mechanical to electric processing.
