Type 001 Keypunch

 

This looks to be one of earliest examples of the Type 001 Keypunch. The attached metal plate simply reads:

THE TABULATING MACHINE CO.
NEW YORK CITY

Other models include a patent date or other information.

This keypunch was missing the caps for 13 of its 14 keys. Only the "9" has the original keycap. It is also missing the entire "2" key...not sure how those disappear! However, the key positions stayed the same for decades, so it is easy to ascertain what the original keys looked like.
