Aircraft Navigation Computer

The Heathkit Model OC-1401 is a compact handheld electronic digital computer. It was designed for aircraft pilots and provides basic math, special navigation, flight management and scientific functions. This computer has three custom-designed, microprocessor integrated circuits.

Computer entries are made on a 36-key keyboard and the entries and answers are displayed on a 14-digit, 7-segmant display. The computer comes with a "Standby" mode that allows you to turn the display off after you make entries to conserve battery power. The Aircraft Navigation Computer comes with its own rechargeable batteries that also automatically displayed a "low-battery indicator"
