This is an advertisement sign for the Digi-Comp 1, the first table-top operating digital computer. The Digi-Comp 1 is a binary digital computer, mechanical rather than electrical so you could see how digital computers operate. It utilizes the same logical techniques used in large electronic brains, and includes the binary memory elements and gates. Once the gates were programmed, operation of the actuating mechanism enables Digi-comp to solve the problem which it was given.
The advertisement highlighted what computers were doing in the economy of the time and how they were effecting everyday life. It also suggests you will be set up to become more successful in life if you can use this computer to think logically and organize your thoughts. The ad goes over what a Digi-Comp is, what it means and how the computer was recommended by Newsweek magazine.
