• PERSONAL COMPUTER LIST •
This is a partial list of personal computers in our collection from 1982 and earlier
--In addition to our large collection of over 200 personal computers, we also have items related to communication technologies including phone, TV, radio, and camera.
--Our Research Library includes thousands of pages of contemporaneous magazines, brochures, books, ads, manuals, and over 100 rare documents. The Library also has many peripheral items, games, and software.
--Aside from the computers themselves, we delve into the history of of these inventions to display inventions that came before the computers such as pre-IBM items from the Computing Scale Company of Dayton Ohio, the International Time Recording Company and, most importantly, the Tabulating Machine Company. You can also see the desk and chairs from Herman Hollerith's home office where he often worked.
